CSi Increases Fishing/Rental Tool Inventory

Monday, April 27th, 2009

CSi is pleased to announce that it has recently purchased a variety of sizes (7″, 8″, & 10″) of section mills to further complement CSi extensive inventory of specialty fishing/rental tools and equipment and support CSi’s rig fleet.

Section mills are primarily used to mill sections in the casing for: Sidetracking, gravel packing, and/or perforation zones.  The blades are dressed so that all blades simultaneously mill the casing, with the milling rates usually limited by the ability of the fluids to remove the cuttings from the hole.

CSi is pleased to announce that it has commenced ‘rig up’ activities on Rig #7.   Rig #7 (and potentially additional CSi rigs in the future) will be utilized on a long term well plugging and abandonment (P&A) projects for a major oil and gas production company with its US headquarters in Houston, Texas

Commenting on this latest development, CSi’s President J. Scott Freshwater stated:  “CSi strives to develop long term business arrangements with clients who can draw upon CSi’s broad oil and gas experience and extensive equipment resources.  By doing so, this allows us to work in partnership with our clients to develop innnovative and value added project solutions.  We are excited to ‘kick-off’ this project and value the confidence that CSi’s existing and new clients have in CSi.”
