A major gas transmission company has awarded CSi a ‘rapid response’ mercury impacted soil removal project at a former mercury measurement station (MMS) location in western Kentucky.  CSi is scheduled to mobilize to the work site on December 27, 2010.

A major gas transmission has awarded CSi a scrubber cleaning project at a mainline compressor facility in Tennessee.  Work is tentatively slated to begin the second week of January 2011. 

A major Appalachian Basin oil and gas production company has selected CSi to clean, dismantle and retire numerous vessels in central West Virginia.  Work is slated to commence next week.

Primarily in support of its PCB Decontamination projects, CSi is pleased to announce that it now provides Dry Ice (CO2) Blasting Services.  

 CSi’s President J. Scott Freshwater stated:  “One of CSi’s projects involves the removal of PCB impacted porous and non-porous surfaces – including multiple layers of PCB impacted paint on sensitive equipment.   After evaluating a variety of paint removal alternatives (stripping agents , various media blasting, and equipment replacement in-kind), we selected Dry Ice Blasting for field demonstrations.  Demonstrations proved the technology to: (a) be efficient and cost effective in removing the paint to substrate, (b) negligibly damage the substrate itself, (c) reduce the volume of overall PCB impacted wastes generated (i.e., the blasting media itself evaporates), (d) generate minimal amounts of dust during blasting operations, and most importantly, (e) provide maximum protection to CSi employees.  Due to the success of the field demonstrations, we opted to begin providing this service.”
