David A. Freshwater, the Founder of CSi serves as Chairman and also is Co-Founder and President of Reserve Oil & Gas, Inc. (an affiliated oil and gas exploration and production company), and President of Essex Energy Investments Inc. In 1970, Freshwater founded Petro Services Inc., an oil & gas well servicing company which provided contract services to various clients throughout the Appalachian Basin. In 1981, Petro merged with Allegheny and Western Energy Corp., a publicly held company, and served in the position of Vice President of Field Operations. During his tenure with Allegheny, he was involved in the drilling and completion of over 350 wells throughout the Appalachian Basin. In 1986, he resigned from Allegheny and founded D.A. Freshwater Company (CSi’s predecessor company). Freshwater also served as a Board member of the First National Bank of Spencer for 21 years and as a Governor appointed Commissioner to the to the West Virginia Parkways, Economic Development and Tourism Authority. Freshwater is also a US Army Viet Nam Veteran, a member of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), and a Guardian Member of the Boy Scouts of America.

J. Scott Freshwater currently serves as President of CSi. He also serves as Vice President of Essential Energy Investments Inc. and Reserve Oil & Gas, Inc. (an affiliated oil and gas exploration and production company). After being raised in the oil & gas industry, he began his work career in 1987 working in the field on CSi well servicing, pipeline construction, and well cementing projects. From 1989 to 1995, he attended West Virginia University and received both a BS and MS in Civil Engineering while working summers at CSi and completing an internship with Columbia Gas/Columbia Gulf Transmission Corporation. Freshwater returned to CSi on a full time basis in 1996, directed the diversification of CSi into the environmental contracting services arena, and increased CSi’s area of operations to encompass the eastern US. His technical expertise coupled with his extensive field experience in all facets of the energy resources industry has prepared him to lead the long-term growth of CSi
